I woke up to my sister screaming at me, rage evident in her eyes as she yanked me from my bed. I landed on the floor, wincing as my ribs started to hurt badly. The aching was from yesterday's beatings. All people around me hated me since my mother left when I was only eight. They blame me for their Luna's decision. My mom planned to leave, though, I didn't tell her to. She left because she wanted. I looked up to see her still screaming at me, but all I could hear was a beeping in my ears. My vision was dotted with black spots as I tried to stay awake. I broke out into a cold sweat, knowing full well that I was about to pass out. "Are you even listening?" she snapped. Finally the beeping stopped and the black spots vanished, I blinked a few times before swallowing. "I-I'm sorry...there was a b-beeping...in m-my ears." I stuttered. She sighed, "Dylan's brother is going to be here in five minutes. We're meeting his fiance; this house has to be clean!" I scurried to my feet and ran out the bedroom door, I clenched my jaw as I instantly started cleaning the floors. Dylan was my sister's mate. I wasn't looking forward to seeing Dylan's brother, Andrew. I've hated him every since the day he rejected me, making my heartbreak into a million pieces. Not only that, he rejected me in front of my pack, father, and sister. Everyone laughed at me, they never allowed me to go a day without being teased for it. I snapped my head up as his scent flowed through the air, making my stomach do a back flip. I put the vacuum cleaner away and started for my room, but then he grabbed my wrist. I spun around to see him and his fiance glaring at me. "You're still alive?" he asked, a disgusted look on his face. I swallowed, not for long. I thought bitterly before nodding. "Yes." His fiance cocked her head, watching me with curious yet disgusted eyes. "You look terrible...why would they let you live? You're more of a burden on them, don't you think, honey?" she asked, turning towards Andrew. Andrew nodded, "Let's go, I don't want to vomit." As they left I walked into the kitchen to make dinner. I quickly finished, setting every plate on the table and every drink. I walked out right as they all walked in, talking and smiling. Laughter filled the air and it only brought me sorrow; I wish it could go back before my mother left. I woke up again feeling numb and exhausted the next morning. As usual I cooked breakfast, and cleaned the house, making sure every part was spotless. We no longer have Omegas clean for us, I was the one who cleaned everything. Even the Omegas treat me like garbage, permission from the Alpha. I shook my head, I can't even call that man my father anymore. I wiped the sweat from my forehead, feeling dizzy once again. I was about to stand up when someone grabbed my hair and yanked me up. I spun around to see Andrew glaring at me, his eyes black with lust. "I need some release, sadly, my love isn't here. However, you are." he spat before dragging me up the stairs. I didn't scream, knowing he would only beat me. Once we reached a guest room he threw me into it and slammed the door. He then stalked over to me, his eyes black. He roughly grabbed my jaw and kissed my lips; sparks exploded between us. I struggled to break free from it. "You have a fiance! You hate me, why are you even kissing me?" I snapped. He narrowed his eyes and slapped me, "Do not speak to me like that!" he snarled. "Like I said, I need release. Plus, she isn't that good in bed." I felt absolutely sick, his actions are revolting. I shoved him off of me, tears pricking my eyes. "Get away from me!" I barked. He growled and pinned me against the wall, slamming his lips to mine. Out of irritation I bit his lip, causing him to yelp. "What are you doing!?" We both froze and snapped our gaze to the door, there stood his fiance with black eyes. Andrew quickly ran over to her, pulling her to him. He glared at me, "She was trying to kiss me." he snarled. I gaped at him, "You- "I am so telling your father about this!" his fiance snapped as she dragged him out of the room. I stood there completely dumbfounded, what is their issue? I then processed what she said, I have to leave before my father even gets to me. He'll most likely kill me! I could hear his footsteps which caused me to panic. I ran towards my window and jumped through the glass, right as my father broke down my door. My body slammed onto the cement, causing bones to break on the right side of my body. My world exploded into pain as I heard someone screaming, took me a whole minute to realize it was me. I survived after jumping from the sixth floor. I quickly shut my mouth and painfully scrambled to my feet, I then sprinted into the forest while my wolf tried healing my bones. I painfully dodged the patrols and entered the border of someone else's pack. This is anything but a good idea, but I needed to escape. I kept on running, ignoring their howls as they pierced the silent air. When my adrenaline ran out that's when I felt the actual pain. I let out a gasp and tumbled to the ground. My vision blurred as I tried seeing where I was, whose territory am I even on? My questioned was answered when common sense kicked in and I sniffed the air. You just had to jump into Black Heart's territory. Way to go, idiot. "Who are you?" I couldn't even look up since my spine was currently healing as well. I sighed, "An idiotic girl who decided to jump out a window." "She's different." someone commented. "Get up." the same voice from before ordered. I sighed once again, "What part of, I jumped out of a window, don't you understand?" "I understand you jumped out a window, but that doesn't explain- "My bones are broken you idiot." I snapped, cutting him off. I could hear someone laugh, "You totally had that coming," "Whatever, someone pick her up and bring her to the dungeons." the man hissed before his footsteps got quieter as he walked away. I kept in a cry of pain as someone picked me up, not gently either. I was roughly thrown into the cell which only resulted in a loud crack. The guard froze as he stared at me, but then he shook his head and slammed the door shut. I groaned, trying to force myself up. Unfortunately my leg was shattered, my ribs were probably shattered, and multiple bones were fractured. My wolf growled in frustration, stating how it'll take days for them to fully heal. I laid there for hours on end, trying my hardest to ignore the pain and the burning tears. I stiffened as someone's scent filled my nostrils. It smelled of mint and citrus, making my wolf stop healing and start howling. My heart started beating violently. The door swung open to reveal a pair of strong legs. I let out a scream as someone suddenly yanked me to my feet. As he placed me on my feet my leg gave out and I fell again, he was about to try once again but I snapped at him. "Don't!" I cried out. "Please, it'll only hurt more." "Good." he stated, dragging me to my feet again. I didn't cry out this time, I placed my good hand on the wall and held myself up. Tears stung my eyes but I no longer cared. I looked up at him and that's when my world stopped, those brilliant green eyes had me frozen in place. "Mate." He mumbled. The pair of beautiful green eyes widened in surprise. I could feel my wolf's excitement, which made me couldn't help smiling. I knew the Moon Gooddess didn't give up on me. She gave me the second change! However, my happiness didn't even last for a minute. My stomach churned when I saw him frown, and the surprise in his eyes was replaced with hatred.. I swallowed, no. My second change mate hates me. He's going to reject me. "Please, don't do this." I whimpered as he took a step forward. He narrowed his eyes, "Sorry not sorry." he sneered. I closed my eyes in despair. "I, Hades Xavier Black, reject you-what is your name?" he suddenly demanded. I swallowed my sob, "Celina Rose Blood." He clenched his jaw, hesitating as he watched me. "I, Hades Xavier Black, reject you, Celina Rose Blood, as my mate and Luna." I tore my eyes away from him, suddenly feeling angered. Why am I the one who was always rejected and abandoned. Why did the Moon Goddess treat me so unfairly? I'm so tired of it all, this time, I'm not letting that happen. With a sudden burst of courage I looked back up at him, our eyes meeting. "I, Celina Rose blood, refuse your rejection." I stated coldly. His eyes widened as he stared at me, bewildered by my refusal. I know I'm going to suffer even more than this, but the darkness that was filling my heart made me almost smile. He's going to feel my pain every day as the bond becomes stronger, he won't be free until I accept his rejection. But it will never happen, I'll make sure of that. He growled loudly, holding me up by my throat. I struggled to breathe, clawing at his hand. "Don't you get it, rogue? I don't want you as my mate. I'm in love with someone else, someone who is perfect and deserves to be Luna of my pack, you on the other hand...you're just a mistake." he snarled before dropping me. Those words, "You're just a mistake" had me quiet. It's not the first time I've heard those words. My father once said the same words to me after my mother left. I clenched my jaw and nodded. "I already know I'm a mistake, trust me, I know." was all I could say. He glowered at me for a few more minutes before turning and slamming the door. Of course my second chance mate doesn't love me, who could? I then cried, my mask breaking as my heart shattered. I slumped to the ground, ignoring the seering pain in my body. Like my father said before, no one could ever love a mistake like me. I opened my eyes slowly, I felt horrible. My whole body hurt like hell, I felt sick and dehydrated. I groaned as I tried to move, but my bones weren't healed yet. That was when I realized I was laying straight on my back, my legs and arms were straight as well. I furrowed my eyebrows before sighing and looking up at the ceiling. The scent of food had my stomach growling, but I refused to eat it. It has already been almost four weeks since I ate my last meal bur I wasn't anywhere near hungry, I was numb. My first mate didn't want me, my second mate doesn't want me, my family and pack don't want me, no one does. I closed my eyes again, a few tears slipping down my face. My wolf was still healing me, grumbling how we could at least die in peace. When I woke up again my cell door was pulled open and in walked a guard. He didn't say anything as he grabbed my arm and yanked me to my feet, it didn't hurt as bad this time but it was still pretty painful. "Why can't you guys let me lay on the ground?" I snapped. He raised an eyebrow, "Well, if you're going to fully heal then you should lay on the bed. The ground is filthy anyway." "Why do you care?" He sighed, "Listen, she told me to do this, so I did. Also, she said drink this. It'll help quicken the process." "Who's she?" I asked as I gently grabbed the little bottle. "Your food will be here in an hour, actually eat it this time." he said, ignoring my question.I frowned as I looked at the vile, who in the world cares enough to help me? I slowly but surely forced myself into a sitting up position. I leaned my back against the wall, panting from the amount of strength it took for me to actually get to this point. After I could breathe like a normal person I grabbed the vile and stared at it, this better taste good. I woke up to a sharp pain in my abdomen, it felt as if my abdomen was literally on fire. I let out a pained cry as I toppled to the ground, curling up in a ball. Any concerns about my bones flew out the window the moment the fire like pain increased. I started to sweat and pant, tears stinging my eyes as I refused to let them fall. My claws came out as I started to claw at my abdomen, the blood soaking my shirt. It felt as if hours went by until it stopped, leaving me breathless and weak. My vision blurred and that beeping noise sounded, it wasn't long until I completely blacked out. When I woke up again there was sun shining through the cell window, causing me to wince at the light. I slowly pulled myself up, realizing that my bones didn't hurt. I sighed in relief, at least the vile helped with that. I leaned against the wall, too weak to stand and walk. I snapped my head up as someone unlocked the cell door and a guard stepped in. It was the same guard from yesterday, he gave me a concerned look as he knelt beside me. "What happened?" he questioned. I stared at him for a moment, "My abdomen felt as if it was on fire and I guess I clawed it." I sighed, tired. He furrowed his eyebrows and lifted my shirt, after checking on it he shook his head and breathed a heavy sigh. "How are your bones?" "Healed." "Good." Before he could leave I grabbed his wrist. He stopped and turned, his eyes urging me to say something. "Why are you and whoever gave me that vile, helping me?" I questioned. He gave me a sad smile, "Because she doesn't want you feeling any pain. Sadly, the pain in your abdomen...she has no choice when it comes to that. She's trying to figure out a way to free you, but right now Alpha Hades is not listening." I swallowed, "So who is she?" He hesitated. "Please." I begged. He signed, and looked at me sympathetically, "She is our future luna." He left, closing the door behind him. I leaned the back of my head against the wall, my heart aches. Their future luna, the one my mate fell for, and the reason for my second mate rejected me. Why did she help me? I remembered how he said she was a perfect luna. Maybe he was right. She was so kind. I was so tried. I closed my eyes, welcoming the darkness. That night the pain happened again, this time I bit my lip so I wouldn't cry. I clawed my abdomen, the blood soaking my shirt again. I didn't stop until I felt someone pinning me down, ordering me to stop. I let out a strangled cry, begging for them to stop it. To stop all this pain. Mentally and physically. The pain spread from my abdomen to my stomach and so did my claw marks. I clawed anywhere the pain was, making myself weaker from the blood loss. When it finally stopped I went still. "Why do I have to go through this?" I whimpered, tears rolling down my cheeks… I peeled my eyes open to see a blue eyed woman looking at me, her eyes holding concern. I tried getting up, but the minute I sat up the world was spinning. She calmed me down and helped me to the bed. She then sighed and sat down, she opened a water bottle and helped me drink it. "You need to drink water, it will help you." she whispered, twisting the cap back on. I watched her with alertness , "Who are you?" She smiled warmly, "Name is Whitney." "So, you're the one helping me?" She nodded quietly. "Why?" She sighed, "It's a long story, but I am willing to tell you. If you don't want to hear it, then you don't have to." "No...I want to hear it." She nodded, " I used to be part of a pack in Delaware. My old pack was murdered by a large group of rogues so my parents brought me here, we were quickly accepted into the pack. In here I met a handsome boy who is now the Alpha, I know you know him." I nodded, urging her to continue. She took a deep breath, "We've grown closer and started dating in high school. I made a promise to him that I would become his Luna if I didn't meet my mate or he didn't meet his. Well, I found out that you were his mate only a day after you were captured. I told Hades that he needs to accept you, but he brushed me off and told me that he rejected you. So, I spent the next few days trying to convince him to accept you. Hades is such a stubborn guy, but he does have a reason as to why he isn't accepting you. It's not that he's not attracted to you, in fact, I caught him talking to his Beta and saying how beautiful you were. He rejected you because he hate rogues. His parents were murdered by a large group of the rogues. Along with his parents, my parents and aunt died as well. I do hate rogues, but only the one who cause harm. I know you wouldn't cause any of us harm, you don't have that evil glint in your eyes." I frowned, ", "I'm not truly a rogue." I whispered. She frowned, "What?" "I wasn't exiled from my pack, I left because of...what they did to me and my father and sister." I explained. "I'm a lone wolf; I would have left his territory but as you know, my whole right side was broken bones." She grinned, "Maybe that will convince him, what pack did you come from? My cousin said you smelled of Blood Rose pack." I nodded, "I came from there, I'm the Alpha's youngest daughter." Her eyes widened with shock, "You're an Alpha?" "Yes." "Well, that changes everything. I mean, in terms for Hades. Why did you leave?" I stayed silent for a moment, unsure of if I should tell her or not. I sighed, deciding to just get it off my chest. I told her all, form how I was abused and rejected. After hearing what happened to me, Whitney watched me with horrified yet sorrow filled eyes, she suddenly pulled me into a hug. "I am so sorry." she whispered. I clung onto her, sobbing into her shoulder as she calmed me down. After a while we parted and I wiped my tears, suddenly a questioned popped up in my mind. "How come I...feel that pain at night?" I asked. She sighed, "Because you're not near Hades and because of the rejection. I don't know everything, but your second chance mate is different from your first. Usually, if your second mate rejects you...you die." I paled, so I'm going to die because my second hates what he thinks I am. Great. That night the burning started again. It was even worse, slowly making its way to my chest. I cried out and clawed my abdomen, then my stomach. The blood poured out, soaking my shirt and even leaking onto the ground. I felt horrible, I couldn't control myself. The pain spread to my chest now and I started to claw, not as deep, but I was dangerously close. I moved my claws to my heart and started clawing. I was about to claw again, but then someone was pinning me down. Sparks flew through my arms, the pain suddenly dying out. However, there was a large amount of blood pooling out of my chest, right where my heart was. "She clawed her heart! See? This is what happens when you're too selfish to listen to me or anyone else!" Whitney's voice echoed; she was snapping at someone. His scent filled my nostrils and I relaxed, the warmth from his touch helping me do so. I opened my eyes, staring into his beautiful green ones. However, that spark or connection didn't happen, I felt nothing. Their voices became muffled as he cradled me to his chest, his fingers running through my sweat soaked hair. I could feel him moving to stand up, he was then sprinting down a dark hallway. Someone was crying and whimpering, I knew that someone was me. Tears continued to roll down my cheeks as I stared at nothing, I was completely out of it. I could hear my wolf whimpering, but she was getting weaker as well. "Why isn't she healing!?" Hades' voice sounded, he sounded panicked. "Her wolf is too weak to heal her." Whitney replied, her voice cracking. "You better treat her good." "I will, trust me, I will." My vision blurred then went black, but before I passed out I managed to say one thing. "I'm s-sorry...f-for being...a-a-a m-mistake."
